Sometimes, it only takes a single moment to change everything.
For my partner Kira and me, it was a vacation in Mauritius. A small lodge in the jungle, 34°C, nearly 100% humidity.
Not exactly the conditions for a good night’s sleep.
And yet, we slept better than ever before.
The reason was surprisingly simple: It was the bedding—made from bamboo fibers.
Cool. Light. Gentle on the skin.
That night, we realized
that it’s not just about how long you sleep - but also what you sleep in.
PÍUR - HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Back home, we couldn’t let go of that feeling.
We—Joscha, Tri-Ky, and Christoph—wanted to recreate that exact sleep experience.
But no matter what we tried,
nothing ever quite came close.
So we started diving deeper.
Into materials.
Into craftsmanship.
Into what truly makes great sleep.
And at some point, it became clear:
If it doesn’t exist the way we imagine it—
we’ll have to create it ourselves.
